Singlethreadmodel in servlet

isn't it seems that singlethreadmodel lossing its purpose..???the only thing that i can see is the instance variable..the request will have their own instance variable and that wont get affected by others. It is recommended that a developer take other means to resolve those issues instead of implementing this interface, such as avoiding the usage of an instance variable or synchronizing the block of the code accessing those resources. The Single Thread Model Interface is deprecated in this version of the specification.

I myself am using JMeter to simulate calls to my app. Thus, any servlet implementing Such a life cycle is pointless for a counter or other servlet application that requires central state maintenance. casual dating kosten Heidelberg The life cycle can be useful, however, in avoiding synchronization while still performing efficient request's an old app and that's how it's implemented... As some of our servlets take about 5 minutes (and could be more then 20) to respond, it is easy to see that only 20 are been atended (debugging it from a filter or something like). If I alternate between 2 servlets, I can get 40 users "active" at the same time. You don't need to add it to the runtime classpath, it's already there :) If you were using an IDE like Eclipse, just referencing Tomcat 5.5 as target runtime in project's properties would have been sufficient.

Container developers are free to choose any of the three options, but most seem to prefer using option 3, the servlet instance pool. "A servlet container may send concurrent requests through the service method of the servlet.A servlet container may satisfy this requirement by serializing requests on a servlet, or by maintaining a pool of servlet instances. If the servlet is part of a Web application that has been marked as distributable, the container may maintain a pool of servlet instances in each JVM that the application is distributed across.Servlet in java application can be accessed by multiple users at a same time. Although it is not good thing to use Single Thread Model in servlet, we can use it to restrict access of more than one user at a same time.
